Gujarat Elections 2017
Bhartiya Janta Party is dominating the state of Gujarat since 1995, firstly under Keshubhai Patel 1995 to 2001. Then reigning prime minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi served as chief minister of Gujarat for consecutive three terms from 2002 till 2014. The state of Gujarat has seen 16 different Chief Ministers and three ruling parties (Congress, Janta Dal, BJP).
Gujarat consists of total 182 state level constituencies. 92 seats are needed to form a majority government. The major business center constituencies are Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodra.
Gujarati People Mood
Gujarat is known for its prosperous business establishments and products like Cotton, Silk, Fertilizers, Chemicals etc. The people in Gujarat both in rural and urban region are found to be prosperous and doing better compared to people of other states.
Gujarati People are smart and like always will favor BJP as BJP is ruling in central government too.
The Hardik Patel Factor will not work
The Hardik Patel factor of polarizing Patel (Patidar) community for having 50+ % reservation will never work out, even a dumb person knows that it is constitutionally impossible to give 50% reservation to any caste or community in any kind of state in India.
Congress is playing dumb card again
Indian National Congress needs to do something good. It’s all started when Rahul Gandhi started visiting Temples in Gujarat and trying to create communal polarization. Do you really need to prove yourself religious or part of religion to win a state election.
I guess, not. Instead of revealing the weakness of ruling BJP govt they are chanting “Vikash Pagal Ho Gya Ha”. Ironically, It means that Gujarat had some development under BJP Govt and now it has gone mad. It resembles something like grapes are too far and very sour.
Gujarat Election Predictions
With Congress joining forces with Hardik Patel and hoping to get 18% votes of Patidar community by promising 50% of impossible reservation scheme. “Nich” Comment made by suspended Congress leader Mani Shankar Ayyer on respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also create negative impact on minds of Gujaratis.
Our verdict :
Indian National Congress (INC) : 80 Seats.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) : 102 Seats.
Although, It looks easy going for BJP but they will loose few seats this time. But, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is definitely coming back to power again.
